Corporate MCIS Safety Glass Sdn Bhd was incorporated on April 1973, with the participation of  Malaysia Cooperative  Insurance Society (MCIS) and Hindusthan Safety Glass Works Pte. Ltd. , India (HSGW).   Commercial production commenced in January 1975. In April 2008, MCIS Safety Glass Sdn Bhd  become a subsidiary of Tradewinds Corporation Berhad.
